You forgot about the big dumper! Maybe it is only a Canadian staple, but when you get those 2 foot snowfalls, nothing else can move snow as efficiently as that bad boy!
VonskiiTháng trước
My “favorite” snow tool is my heavy ice-breaker. Love it.
TinaTháng trước
Geese.... your snow is nice and light like flour. I'm jealous! Only one of those three shovels does anything to the kind of snow we get here in Oregon. And if you shovel in Crocs your socks will be frozen to your toenails in minutes.

In Michigan we have this huge shovel that can even be called a shovel so we call it the yooper scooper

In my area (Southern Ohio) if you don’t have a 4x4 (Polaris Ranger or Can-Am, etc.), a Bobcat, or at least a four-wheeler to plow your snow, you’re looked at as poor. Our driveways are too large to use a shovel, shit would take hours...

no. 1 long handle steel scope. Scrapes down to surface and strong enough to chip ice, without loading too heavy, and no bending the back. Toss that aluminum shorty in the corner. It was made for scoping up corn and beans.

My 3, 1. pusher for sure. 2. Regular good plastic snow scoop. Can carry and push. 3. Tile scraper for hard pac and ice. Pro tip, try to push as much as possible. Throwing easily hurts your back and definitely wears you out. Creditablity, 53 Ohio drives and walks in last 3 weeks, no blower lol!

Shovel #3 is useless if you own #2. Shovel #3 should be a smaller shovel for stairs or walkways that are too skinny for the first two. I've personally never used shovel #1 for snow removal. Most of the winters with heavy snowfall I've used a slightly larger #2 and a small shovel for anything the large couldn't fit in.

A shovel with a bend in the neck helps wonders when having to move a lot of snow. Your back will thank you that you don't have to bend as much. Just don't be a noob and get one of those rinky dink commie plastic shovels. Be a man and get steel, or at the very least aluminum.
slimj091Tháng trước
After our first winter shoveling our new large half circle driveway, we bought a good quality snow thrower, barely needed it the next few winters, and now we can't get it to start. It probably needs a new carburetor. So we are back to two basic types of shovels, one that's better for lifting snow and the second one he shows that is good for pushing/plowing snow. You need at least those 2 kinds plus a very strong metal one for breaking ice.
Mandy AlmanTháng trước
All of the shovels suck. Just get a regular good ol' snow shovel and it'll do the trick.

Harvey LongTháng trước
@Harvey Long I guess I could sue my neighbor who's a diesel mech and helped me put a timing belt on my car I helped him lay his cement back patio the other who does floors helped me do my kitchen the other one who helped me fix my A/C for $30 bucks I helped him frame his basement you need to move...
