  • Geese.... your snow is nice and light like flour. I'm jealous! Only one of those three shovels does anything to the kind of snow we get here in Oregon. And if you shovel in Crocs your socks will be frozen to your toenails in minutes.

  • In my area (Southern Ohio) if you don’t have a 4x4 (Polaris Ranger or Can-Am, etc.), a Bobcat, or at least a four-wheeler to plow your snow, you’re looked at as poor. Our driveways are too large to use a shovel, shit would take hours...

  • no. 1 long handle steel scope. Scrapes down to surface and strong enough to chip ice, without loading too heavy, and no bending the back. Toss that aluminum shorty in the corner. It was made for scoping up corn and beans.

  • My 3, 1. pusher for sure. 2. Regular good plastic snow scoop. Can carry and push. 3. Tile scraper for hard pac and ice. Pro tip, try to push as much as possible. Throwing easily hurts your back and definitely wears you out. Creditablity, 53 Ohio drives and walks in last 3 weeks, no blower lol!

  • Shovel #3 is useless if you own #2. Shovel #3 should be a smaller shovel for stairs or walkways that are too skinny for the first two. I've personally never used shovel #1 for snow removal. Most of the winters with heavy snowfall I've used a slightly larger #2 and a small shovel for anything the large couldn't fit in.

    jjaapp18jjaapp18Tháng trước
  • The wide snow shovel with the ergonomic grabber to help fling it is best.. aside from a snow blower

    • I'll be sure to tell my homeowner's insurance that when someone slips and falls on my front sidewalk, driveway apron. I'll make sure the code enforcement department of the county knows Im too busy to shovel too, Im sure they'll let the 24 hr snow removal slide for me

  • If you didnt have 100% prestine condition driveways and walkways at your house the lazy delivery drivers would have an excuse to skip you and move on. Like dam okay.. let me wash down my entire drive way with hot water and some salt... theirs not even ice. You have better traction than a schools hallway

  • A shovel with a bend in the neck helps wonders when having to move a lot of snow. Your back will thank you that you don't have to bend as much. Just don't be a noob and get one of those rinky dink commie plastic shovels. Be a man and get steel, or at the very least aluminum.

    slimj091slimj091Tháng trước
  • After our first winter shoveling our new large half circle driveway, we bought a good quality snow thrower, barely needed it the next few winters, and now we can't get it to start. It probably needs a new carburetor. So we are back to two basic types of shovels, one that's better for lifting snow and the second one he shows that is good for pushing/plowing snow. You need at least those 2 kinds plus a very strong metal one for breaking ice.

    Mandy AlmanMandy AlmanTháng trước
  • All of the shovels suck. Just get a regular good ol' snow shovel and it'll do the trick.

  • The Canadian way is to accept defeat, not shovel, and train yourself to send your car flying in and out of your driveway at Mach 9 everyday so you don't get stuck.

    Daniel DaviesDaniel DaviesTháng trước
  • Hate to tell ya, but the first shovel is a grain shovel - and it sucks for snow cause it grabs the concrete!

  • #2 yellow handle gets my vote. also good for clearing the slaughter house floor of entrails and such.

    Frank WolfFrank WolfTháng trước
  • I like that one on the wheels. Just put some weights on the front, so it’ll shovel better/push better,

    Michael BenoitMichael BenoitTháng trước

    • @Harvey Long Indeed, when you put Gorilla Glue in your hair and want to sue..

      Mike VigilMike VigilTháng trước
    • @Mike Vigil helping neighbor's out not a bad thing in the least. sadly though, in our sue happy society, passing the blame onto somelse is the Ins companies MO. theyd sue the snowblower mfc , the weather forecaster, the people that did the cement work and mother nature if they could just to pass the buck of a settlement off

      Harvey LongHarvey LongTháng trước
    • @Harvey Long Damn...

      Mike VigilMike VigilTháng trước
    • @Mike Vigil Insurance companies dont give a rats ass about neighbor's being friends, Ins companies pass the buck onto whoever they can to get out of a lawsuit settlement. our neighbor repoured their front curb per township citation, the contractor cracked my apron, UPS driver tripped over the buckled block, sued my HO ins even though neighbor's contractor caused the damage. 3 month legal battle, huge insurance hike was the result

      Harvey LongHarvey LongTháng trước
    • @Harvey Long I guess I could sue my neighbor who's a diesel mech and helped me put a timing belt on my car I helped him lay his cement back patio the other who does floors helped me do my kitchen the other one who helped me fix my A/C for $30 bucks I helped him frame his basement you need to move...
